The Club is run by students and overseen by Aquatec whose members volunteer their time to train TU Dublin students.
You will get:
Internationally recognised SCUBA qualification.
Weekly summer diving in Dublin.
Trips away
Being a member of a CFT affiliated dive club has many advantages. club membership is €100 which covers your affiliation fee to CFT and insurance, you get access to all the club has to offer including wetsuits, flippers, our dive boats, compressors, CFT insurance, experienced officers and members of the club, and local knowledge of dive sites. Training under CMAS - qualifications are CMAS affiliated recognised worldwide. If you're a qualified diver from other organisations then we would love to have you too!
Training year for CMAS 1* Diver:
- Every Wed in Belvedere College Swimming Pool
- Snorkel training - basic snorkel skills
- Lecture programme - 10 short safety and basic knowledge lectures
- Scuba training - in the pool to prepare for open water
- SCUBA - open water scuba dives
Annual Events:
- Snorkel weekend usually in November
- Easter trip - 1 week (5 open dives to qualify)
- Plus many more throughout the dive season - weekends around Ireland and foreign trips
Associate Costs:
Mask, fins and snorkel
o To be purchased by each trainee during October - €60 approx.
o Booties and gloves - got to stay warm! - €30 approx.
Medicals: Performed by TU Dublin GP - Cost covered by the Club for TU Dublin students
