TU Dublin's Weightlifting Club is a space that provides an opportunity for students to meet new people, train as part of a team and compete in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting (Snatch + Clean and Jerks). Suited to all levels, if Olympic Weightlifting is something that interests you, consider joining today!

Olympic Weightlifting is a sport that gives you the opportunity to elevate your fitness and mobility levels, challenge yourself and be part of a supportive community that is dedicated to reaching new heights in weightlifting as a team. Our club offers a platform for personal growth, developing friendships and a shared passion for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.


We train weekly, with multiple locations and time slots available to students.


Throughout the year, we attend competitions - an opportunity to push yourself to the limit and showcase your hard work! (Details of competition times will be updated in our calendar)


As well as this, we want to make sure there are times where it's not all about the weights - social events will be spread throughout the year which give us the opportunity to bond as a team, celebrate victories and foster friendships that extend beyond the gym.


Whether you're an experienced weightlifter or a complete beginner, we welcome all levels to push themselves, achieve goals and lift in a supportive environment!


History

The TU Dublin Weightlifting Club was established by students in 2017 in order to facilitate a space for students to learn and train in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting as well as to bring awareness to as many people as possible about the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.
