Join us for an underwater adventure at Killary Fjord, Ireland's only fjord and one of the country's most unique and stunning dive locations. Our dive trip offers the perfect opportunity for divers of all experience levels to explore the waters, discover marine life, and experience the beauty of this coastal landscape.

At the conclusion of this trip, you will be on your way to being certified as a 1* Diver - If you have been a 1* Diver already, this is also a great opportunity to get a bunch of dives under your belt for that 2* Diver Certificate.

Trip Entry Requirements

To ensure all participants are prepared for the open water conditions and dive activities, the following prerequisites must be met:

In the swimming pool, complete the following:

1. Swim 200 metres freestyle without stopping
2. Swim 50 metres backstroke without stopping

Hold your breath underwater for 30 seconds within 5 minutes of 1 and 2 above.

Open Water Snorkel Training

Log a minimum of 3 open water snorkels of at least 30 minutes duration each in Irish Waters.

Course Requirements

A candidate must:

Hold Full Diver Membership of Diving Ireland

Have completed the entry requirements for the course

What to Bring

• Snorkel & Dive gear (If you require any equipment, please let us know in advance)
• Rain Jacket
• Comfortable Clothes for Post-Dive
• Sunscreen & Hat (If weather permits)
• Snacks & Water
• Logbook
